Anna wanted to help too!
She also wanted to help with the ornaments by tearing the paper towels they were wrapped in to shreds.
AJ was very good at hanging the oranaments this year. He would look for just the right spot for each one, and only a couple of branches had multiple ornaments this year :)!
We went to visit Santa when he made a visit to Pickerington's Library, and what would you know,he brought a couple of baby "reindeers" with him. They were right outside the window that the Santa line walked by, and it was really something to see.
AJ wanted nothing to do with Santa's lap, but we did end up getting back in line when he realized that he hadn't told Santa what he wanted and was quite fearful that Santa wouldn't bring him his presents. So, after we got to Santa again, AJ mumbled out what he wanted, but then became quite distraught when Santa didn't immediately pull his gifts out of his bag right then and there. It was quite the learning experience for him as we explained how Santa has to go back to the North Pole so that the elves can make his gifts. Anna wasn't quite so sure about the big guy herself, but at least we got the picture!

Santa should have brought Anna balloons for Christmas. She was enthralled with this one when we went out to eat one advent Sunday after church.

While the children were nestled all snug in their beds... SANTA ARRIVED!
As AJ came down the stairs Christmas morning he exclaimed, "HOLY COW!" Here we are opening stockings.
Nuge enjoying his Christmas treats as well!

Aunt Barbie - The kids LOVE the toys you got them. Anna absolutely cracks up!

We headed over to the Sauer's during the evening on Christmas day, where more gift opening commenced.

AJ in his new fully stocked playroom (his toys all moved to his bedroom), with his car city built, and his monster car race track (on the right, the second and most important gift he asked Santa for).
WOW! What an AMAZING Christmas we had. Most importantly, we were surrounded by those that we love most, while remembering what this day is TRULY about and thanking God for all the blessings in life.
