Anna in the Bumbo

Anna has become quite expressive... here she is being WAY TOO CUTE in the Bumbo.

AJ's First Swim Lessons

AJ entered the "Jellyfish" class this summer for his first week of swim lessons. He could do everything they wanted him to do (blow bubbles, go under, dive for a ring, kick, etc.), but the task for this week was learning how to listen to someone new and LET them show you how to do something the right way. He started getting the hangof it by Wednesday! Here they are using the "marshmellows" to kick their way out to the slide.
Once they mastered the kicking, they got to go down the slide a couple of times each day. AJ about gave his instructors a heart attack on Thursday (the second day of the slide reward) when he went up the stairs and down the slide before being told. The instructor in the pool heard the splash and instantly scooped him up, but he got a lecture afterwards. OOPS!
AJ with his swim class doing motor boat. He had a wonderful time and I think this is definitely something we'll be doing every year!

The 4th of July

Anna enjoying her first 4th of July parade with Grandpa Joe. Grandma and AJ waving and cheering for the firefighters.
Anna getting ready to watch her first fireworks with Uncle Eric. She watched and loved the whole show!
Everyone enjoying a nice evening out together. AJ just saw this picture and told me he wants to go to the fireworks. They are fun and he loves them!
My kiddos on the 4th! They are precious!

Camp Bountiful Reunion 2010

Once Angie arrived with her kids the chaos began... Everyone make a funny face (AJ has already split).
AJ and Megan on a camp favorite - the train (making funny faces of course)!
Grandma with the little princess.
Evan, Angie, Anna and Grandma Bonnie.
The joys of bathing little ones at camp... However, they don't seem to mind!
AJ and Megan in their matching camp shirts (Grandpa Joe had one too)!
She was awake when we got in the pool.
Evan had a grand time splashing around with Grandma.
Evan was trying desperately to figure out his bottle.
Attack of the nephews... Uncle Eric was such a good sport despite a few minor injuries.
Aunt Barbie and Evan checking on Anna.
Laughing the whole way down! What fun!
Evan still trying to decide if this is fun or not.
My camera battery died after this, but the fun never stopped!

Bible School

AJ and Heidi attended "Kingdom of the Son: An African Safari" bible school at St. Pius X in June. They had a great time (even if I did have to leave AJ kicking and screaming the last 2 days). After the first day, I asked AJ which animal he talked about that day, and he told me that he didn't learn about an animal, but that he learned about Jesus! At the end of the week, we attended a potluck and ending show, but the kids began their evening with a little hockey before dinner!
AJ practicing his slap shot.
AJ decided NOT to participate in the show, so he watched Heidi with the rest of us.
The kids singing their songs - they were really cute songs!

Anna - 3 Months

I know this post is almost a month late, but the picture was only a week late. Here's my little princess at 3 months with piglet. She's been doing some serious growing this month!

West Palm Beach 2010

We hit the beach again in South Florida for another relaxing Sauer vacation...

AJ's old enough now to enjoy some of the activities the resort puts on for the kids. I forgot my camera during the pinata fun, but here's AJ playing his first game of bingo (m&m style). In case you missed it from the last post... AJ LOVES pretending to be a "worker" man. This time, he's diggin' holes.
And this would be what happens when you try to take pictures in 100% humidity. AJ was a little more cautious of the ocean this year, but we did get him in once for about 2 minutes.
Anna's first toe-dip in the ocean.

Family portraits... The one below is actually quite good! Our one nice dinner out is about the only time during this week that we look good.
AJ shaking hands with Mamaw'a lobster while out to eat!
This would be what Anna did every morning while the rest of us enjoyed the pool. Of course, who wouldn't enjoy snoozing under the palm trees?
My little fish. By the end of the week, AJ was putting his head down in the water and trying to swim.
New trick this year... jumping off of the edge.
Over and over and over again!
Another new trick... "Flying" as AJ calls it and he always wanted to go faster!

AJ being treated to another kids' activity by Mamaw and Papaw. He's stuffing his own penguin which he named "Sauer."
AJ teaching Sauer how to build with blocks.
Anna's first dip in the pool. She only made it in twice.
But how cute is this little swimsuit?!
On the way home, Anna became quite attached to the Nuk. I think it gave her something to do!

Looking forward to next year already!
